Obama's Xbox Live landslide

Senator Barack Obama was the clear victor in a poll carried out over Xbox Live.
The unofficial US presidential election poll on Xbox Live saw Barack Obama romp home by a clear margin of 12 percent over John McCain.

Almost 100,000 users in North America took part in the poll and gave Obama 43 percent of the vote, McCain 31 percent, 13 percent other candidates and 13 percent undecided.

The poll has a serious side in that it aimed to encourage younger votes to register as part of Microsoft's Rock the Vote campaign.

Since the programme began on August 25th over 50,000 voter registration forms have been downloaded via Xbox.com and Xbox Live.
