Max Payne 3 confirmed

Take-Two CEO Jeffrey Lapin has confirmed that Max Payne 3 is currently in development. His comments though seem to reflect the game’s slightly disappointing sales figures in the US and hint that the next sequel will be some way off yet: "I think we'll take a few years to make the next one that much more spectacular, is what we have to do, but it’s clearly a brand that everybody knows, and there will be another Max Payne."

Interestingly Mikael Kasurinen of Remedy Entertainment has indicated on a post in the Shacknews forums that the developer will not be involved in the second sequel. Which is certainly odd considering they created the character in the first place. What exactly they were working on now though was not hinted at.
