Uwe Boll to make Postal movie?

There's nothing like attaching Uwe Boll's name to a videogame franchise to have gamers pulling their hair out with anxiety about their beloved franchise being besmirched with a terrible movie version.

In the case of Postal I can't see anyone worrying about lowering the tone of the game with a movie, but it certainly would be a controversial and violent cinematic experience and with Boll at the helm, most likely rubbish too.

The Dark Horizons movie site broke the story that Uwe Boll was to make the movie featuring "all of the characters from the video games, but with a brand-new, Boll-branded storyline. With the first draft of the script completed, Boll KG will move into production of Postal in February of next year."

However it seems that this was jumping the gun a little. Running With Scissors head Vince Desi has told Gamecloud that such a story was premature. There has been interest in a movie version, he said, and Boll was one of the interested parties, but no deal has been struck at this time.
